Stainless Steel, Explained: Why We Chose It

We could have written this post as a long list of reasons stainless steel is the best possible material for a ring. We're not going to, because that's not actually what we know — it's just what would sound good.

Here's what's true.

The ring is made of stainless steel.

That's it, as a material fact. One metal, stated plainly. We didn't want to build a story around a spec sheet, so we're not going to invent one here — just the fact, said once.

It has 4 magnets built into the band.

This is a construction detail, not a benefit claim, and we want to be precise about that distinction rather than let it blur. The magnets are part of how the ring is built. We're not going to tell you what they do, because that's not something we're in a position to claim — not because we're being coy, but because it isn't something we can stand behind as fact. If you're looking for the ring's stated benefit, that's a separate, hedged claim that lives on the product page — it's not something we're going to back into by talking about the magnets.

It comes in one size only.

Not sized, not adjustable. Four finishes — gold, rose gold, silver, and Onyx — but one size across all of them. If you're used to jewelry that comes in a size run, this is a genuine difference worth knowing before you order, not a footnote.

Why one plain material, rather than a longer list of features

This is really the same decision we made about the ring itself, applied to what it's made of. We'd rather tell you one true thing about the material than a page of half-true ones. A lot of jewelry copy leans on words like "premium" or "hypoallergenic" or "tarnish-resistant" without much behind them. We don't have anything specific to say about those, so we're not going to say them.
